At the beginning of July, ARBURG’s Spanish subsidiary invited customers and interested parties to Valencia to attend the “Packaging Allround” seminar. In cooperation with the Aimplas plastics institute and mould makers Hasco, a varied program was designed with both theoretical and practical components that would present current topics from the packaging industry to the approximately 30-strong audience, while also demonstrating the capabilities of ALLROUNDER injection moulding machines in this field.

Questions about which series are particularly suited to the packaging industry and how much expertise ARBURG possessed in this sector were answered by Martin Cayre, subsidiary manager at ARBURG S.A., on the basis of various example applications from the areas of thin-walled items, screw cap closures and in-mould labelling.
In addition to the electric ALLDRIVE ALLROUNDERs, the new ALLROUNDER HIDRIVE series was also presented, featuring a powerful combination of familiar electric and hydraulic machine technology. Thus, ARBURG has expanded its range of high-performance injection moulding machines with energy-efficient drive technology for thermoplastic processing with a reduced cycle time.

The extremely positive feedback from the participants clearly proved that the concept behind the “Packaging Allround” seminar was very well received. They were very impressed with the concise presentation, which covered the latest theoretical and practical topics and requirements of the packaging industry, as well as pointing to future trends.
