 | | 29/03/10 – At Chinaplas, held April 19 - 22, ARBURG showcases two interesting exhibits at their booth G21 in Hall E1. "At this important global event for the plastics industry we prove the efficiency of our hybrid ALLROUNDER HIDRIVE machines and impressively demonstrate our competence regarding automation solutions. Moreover the exhibits highlight the entire high-tech injection moulding machine programme by ARBURG", says Zhao Tong, ARBURG Subsidiary Manager in Shanghai, describing this year's trade fair appearance.

The high-performance aspect with regard to productivity and speed will be covered by a hybrid ALLROUNDER 570 H with a high-speed packaging application. The exhibit, with a clamping force of 2,000 kN, is equipped with a 2-cavity mould. Thin-walled snack trays will be produced in a cycle time of 4.3 seconds.

The second exhibit is a cost-effective automation solution comprising a hydraulic ALLROUNDER 420 C GOLDEN EDITION with a servo-electric MULTILIFT V SELECT robotic system. The ALLROUNDER has a clamping force of 1,000 kN. The production of a technically complex component will be demonstrated. High-precision connector inserts with thin-walled webs and a weight of 1.87 grams will be produced using a 4-cavity mould. The integrated robotic system is programmed simply and convenient via the teach-in function of the central SELOGICA.

"Despite the general economic crisis, machine sales in China increased significantly in 2009", says ARBURG Managing Director Sales, Helmut Heinson by way of conclusion. "Based on the current status, the prospects for our Chinese business in 2010 can be assessed as extremely positive. Although the market segment for high-performance, energy-efficient machine technology and complex production cells is still very small, enquiries are on the increase. Today, demand for our high-tech machines stems not only from international global players, but increasingly from local companies," he says, describing developments in the Chinese plastics market.
